Ruins of Xyntalhus
A cluster of overgrown ruins are all that is left of the Netheril flying city of Xyntalhus. Most of it's structures can be found underground however many of them have since been filled in or their entrances overgrown.
- The Outskirts - the outer reaches of the ruins were part of the residential areas for poor laborers of the city. Those that were not replaced by magical automatons or machines worked here or further into the city. This part is relatively save and is often used as a camp site for the expeditions. Some old camp remnants can be found here as well as a permanent encampment in the southern section used by the Order of the Black Staff.
- The Automata District - here all the magical Automatons and machines were created to do the menial labor within the city itself. You can still find ruined apparatus, arcane automatons and manufactories here.
- The Shipyards and Docks - the Netherese build and docked their flying ships and other vessels. You can find the ruins of ancient Spelljammers and flying machines here.
- The Magisters District - the primary residential district of the mages of Netheril. These ruins are haunted by wraiths, revenants and magical mutated beasts.
- The Merchant and Trade District - owning it's own Spelljammer docks, warehouses and markets this district is relatively intact however it has been plundered and ransacked for all it's riches. There are some undead and abberations roaming the ruins of the long dead district.
- The Spire of the Sorcerer-King - the central district is the home of the Sorcerer-King Khal'zox. Some of the High Magisters of Netheril have turned themselves into Liches or failed to do so turning them into magical monstrosities. It is rumored that the Sorcerer-King himself turned into a Lich and haunts the central spire and kills everyone he finds and turns them into his undead servants.
