Broken Obelisk Session 11
General Summary
Session 11: 14-04-2025
The Deva asks for the divine sword from Torold and leads the party down to the chamber of the Chained Devil. With a beam of holy light he incinerates it leaving a dark imprint on the wall.
Bruise investigates the chamber and finds two scroll cases and a wand hidden underneath a rack meant for torturing prisoners. Trix identifies these and they try to put the wand into the Pocket Plane but Kaxxa notices that the key has been changed. With help from the Deva they start searching for the imp who likes to steal magical items and fancy objects.
They track it to the treasure rooms and find tunnels leading into the foundation of the building. Bruise investigates and finds the key in a small hole cleverly hidden behind one of the chests. They decide to leave it be and head back up to the dragon to tell it they were successful.
The dragon waits for them on the field above and Kaxxa explains to it the importance of retrieving their item. He makes them a deal to leave 400gp to compensate its hoard so they can take the item. Inside the treasure chamber Kaxxa notices that the part is missing and small scratches can be seen on the surface of a desk. He then starts scooping up all the treasure setting off the alarms in the place and calls for help of the Spelljammer. Captain Horatio informs him that he will be there shortly with cannon loaded.
Outside the dragons roars in rage and unleashes its poison breath on Bruise and Torold. His rending claws take down Bruise and almost end Torold. The other party members stay back and shoot at the dragon with their ranged weapons and spells until a large boom can be heard in the distance. They look in that direction and see the Spelljammer now revealing a massive cannon inside the mouth of the figurehead smoking from its blast. When they look back the dragon is decapitated and dead on the ground.
They investigate the tower and find some handprints of the imp who seems to have been stealing from the dragon. Heading back to the ship to rest, Trix sits down to identify the items retrieved from its hoard and finds out that they already had the key shard which they dumped into the pocket plane earlier today!
During the big celebration feast thrown by the captain he asks the party: "Where to next?"
