Power Generation

Ships of this class are equipped with an M-5 type main reactor that generates enough power to power all of the ship's systems. Backup generators are also installed to provide power to the life support systems for a short time in the event of a reactor failure, giving the crew time to evacuate the ship.

Propulsion

The sublight propulsion of the ship is provided by main thrusters at the rear and front of the ship which provide the main thrust, maneuvering thrusters are installed everywhere on the ship to allow it to move well in space. Finally, for superluminal propulsion, ships of this class are equipped with a size three Star Drive that allow them to travel at 200% the speed of light and to traverse any wormhole in the galaxy.

Weapons & Armament

The starships of this class use many types of weapons for combat, the first being missiles which are used for long range. For medium range together with close range, coil guns are used against enemy ships, swivel guns can sometimes also be used at close combat. This class can accommodate twelve slots where turrets equipped with these types of armament can be installed.

Armor and defense

Like all Republic ships, this class has a hull made from composite materials reinforced with carbon fiber giving it unparalleled strength. For anti-missiles and close defense, a dozen automatic aiming turrets equipped with swivel guns, interceptor missile batteries or lasers are installed on the ship.

Communication Tools & Systems

Incoming and outgoing communications are handled by a military-grade communications relay that automatically encrypts outgoing communications and decrypts incoming ones. The ship's operating system includes a built-in artificial intelligence that automatically manages many of the ship's internal systems.

Sensors

The vessel uses two types of sensors which give it variable effective detection ranges depending on the environment, space phenomena and the intensity of the signature of what is identified. The first type of sensors are passive ones which will notice what is around the ship through direct observation. The second is the active sensors which will send waves nearby and will analyze the return of these to determine what is present.

Hangars & docked vessels

The ship contains a hangar that can hold up to three fighter squadrons as well as a dozen other aircraft for a wide range of missions. It is also used by the transport shuttles which take care of the supply and the transport of the personnel since the ship cannot land on a planet.
