Zanus

Zanus is a F6 V Yellow-white Main Sequence Star, circled by seven planets. All are fairly barren worlds; the latter ones being frozen as well. The third however, is home to the source of the signals they’ve picked up.
The planet is the home of a people calling themselves the Thugan . A race of purple-skinned, four-eyed humanoids who seem spread out across one of its continents. They would appear to posses a fairly primitive society, though also seem to possess a surprisingly level of technology for such, possessing not only radio technologies but also energy weapons and anti-gravity technologies. They otherwise live in cities of stone, and value the typical elements of gold and jewels.
A more thorough investigation reveals the source. Buried in the desert is a large interstellar vessel. Its unclear if it brought the Thugan to this world, or is merely what they salvaged their technology from.
