A hardworking, long lived humanoid species with deep familial and warrior clan traditions. The Moroki will spend years finding their passion and centuries more perfecting it. The Moroki pursue change and improvement, seeking an ever better future for themselves and those around them through whatever means necessary.
Advantages
The Moroki possess highly advanced technology and nearly perfect mastery of their biology and genome. They have eradicated any biological limitations that may impede social, cultural and technological development.
Disadvantages
Their obsessive pursuit of perfection has led to war, betrayal and systematic elimination of political rivals. An alarming amount of ambitious Moroki leaders have always used radical and sometimes unethical and downright immoral means to achieve their goals. Many famous Moroki throughout history are only known for their immoral acts instead of their achievements.
History
They’re moulded by civil war, tyrants, famine and natural disasters. They have spent the past million years slowly moulding themselves into what they perceive as a near perfect society, nearly eradicating poverty, racism and inequality. Yet despite appearances the nation is still plagued by corruption, betrayal, tragedy and genocide. They’re eternal quest for perfection leads them to ever more ambitious goals.
Moroki society is dominated by familial bonds. Each individual is associated with one of the great clans. Even the lowliest of store clerks in Moroki society can track their heritage back to one of the founding clans. In Moroki culture the most honorable of vocations Moroki individuals can choose is military service. Self sacrifice for one's nation is highly respected and highly regarded.
There exists two main branches that most people and inducted in. The Marine Corps and the Battlesuit Corps. Each Corps typically recruit young individuals that only just reached of age. They are then psychologically and physically indoctrinated and trained for decades until they're ready for service. Mature Marines and Battlesuit operators typically stay in service until death and never leave. These soldiers typically regard each other as brother and sisters for life once they are able to make it through training alive.
With lifelong, dedicated commanders leading the military each unit is largely allowed to run itself with little to no direct supervision from high command. Each is a microcosm of the subculture where the unit's first recruits were taken. Typically assigned right after training, a particular soldier will usually remain in the same unit throughout their service. Only under exceptional circumstances will a soldier change units. Each unit posses divisions of non-combatants that perform logistical and maintenance duties necessary to make a unit a self sufficient entity.
