Hal'Yuna Nebula

Hal'Yuna (AKX-172) is more of a nebula than a star system. The readings it provides are highly irregular, and it takes the expeditionary fleet some time to properly grasp what they are witnessing. Eventually the science team comes to a conclusion: This is the remains of an evaporated black hole.   Yet even that doesn’t quite explain the findings here. Energy and matter behave oddly here, as if the fabric of the universe here is somewhat altered. The closer to the center of the nebula one gets, harder it is to maintain power and structural integrity. There doesn’t appear to be any fields or objects with which one is colliding with, rather it appears the bonds between particles and matter start to encounter difficulty maintaining coherency.   Remote observation is eventually able to find something near the center of the nebula. A titanic cube, or what’s left of one. One face of it appears to have been ripped off of it, nowhere to be found, a torrent of anomalous energy spilling ever forth from it.   The cube itself no longer appears to be powered, but from the markings and readings of its hull composition, its unmistakably Akhaale.
