Espinosa

Where there once was an early space-age civilization, where the ruins of cities, choked by a strange, chalky plant resembling a tree or a fungus. Outwards from what resembled a meteor impact, towering trees and their great roots where spread out across the globe, consuming and converting all in its path. The atmosphere was completely infested with spores, and the space around the planet seemed distorted in ways scientists found difficult to explain.
The only survivors of this planet were found in a small space station, rescued and sent to Arrak where they lived as reality TV stars, talkshow hosts, etc. As their numbers increased, they where offered land on New Espinosa.

The Evergrowth on the planet itself was destroyed via nuclear bombardment.

Geography

REC-01 is a binary system of a A9 V White Main Sequence Star and its orbiting DQ3 White Dwarf. Between the two stars orbits three planets, the second of which had supported sapient life at one point.
