Artifact Room

Sometimes, the magic is too unpredictable and volatile so artifacts are made to contain and control it. Most Artifacts are made up of Capiotum or Ferreus, which are materials that can withstand magic, one being heavy, strong and rare, the other being more common and a little weak but able to withstand level 5 spells.

Purpose / Function

To contain and protect dangerous artifacts or magic or even creatures.

Design

It is rectangular, the room longer than it is wider and as tall as the other rooms. It has the same ambient brown and silver with podiums the same color as the floor and metal hooks.

Entries

There is only one entrance, it is locked but not hidden, it can only be opened by a level 5 spell

Sensory & Appearance

Usually there is the smell of metal, wood and magic, probably the occasional dust if one's nose is sensitive enough.

Some artifact containment are basically traps or some magic may leak when someone is nearby or touched the artifact without protection

Special Properties

It is made up of magic dampening field so that no one would sense any strong magic -other than the royal family's- from the castle, it also has an alarm spell that will sound when an artifact leaves with an unauthorized aura signature that sounds in other Countries too.

Alterations

It used to be only a display room only to be kept under lock and key and be able to hang or suspend things. It is to accommodate the different types of artifacts and make sure no one can use it.

History

Ever since Papiliosidus' destruction, Sammantha has been collecting dangerous artifacts from around the planet, it has remained standing and untouched since the only one time someone snuck inside to smuggle the Iris Containment Charm into earth.
