Courier's Guild

Medias, data smiths, pirate radios and journalists all call the Courier's Guild home. The organization is a wide spread loose collection of people dedicated to the free distribution of information. Their efforts range from running data shards across Imperial borders, hunting for lost libraries on colonies long forgotten, to reporting on warzones. Their organizational structure is flat, with only a handful of editors controlling what gets published on their Omni-Net centers. They work regularly alongside universities, monastaries, and institutes. They also have bene known to work alongside heli.OS  Couriers can be found in any system with a gate, and can be trusted to deliver a package to any corner of the galaxy. This has allowed them to generate funds by smuggling goods throughout the Orion Arm. It is even rumored they have access to hidden Navbox routes from before the silence.

Structure

The courier's guild is a flat structure, and mostly operates on a system by system basis. The guild charter keeps it that way, capping power at the system wide level. Guild managers are contained to their own system, while the couriers themselves belong to a collective bargaining agreement known as the "Freedom of Flight Agreement". Most captains are equal to one another.    This system is prone to leading to conflict, however all conflict must be solved at the yearly grievance comittee.
