Traditional Snarsisian Fashion is the clothing and fashion styles of the
Snarsisian people and culture. These styles are still quite common, even if they have been adapted to include more modern materials, styles, and clothing trends, some of which have come from other planets and cultures.
Their clothing tends to cover most of their skin, especially if they are spending time out on the surface in the sun, as well as often using veils or headgear to shield the face and eyes. Snarsisians are very sensitive to sunlight and struggle to see in bright light, hence these aspects of fashion are common even in modern and untraditional snarsisian fashion.
Clothing
Base Layer
A base layer is often made up of a long loose long sleeved tunic which will often fall to or past the knees and function as the base layer of an outfit. They may wear trousers underneath the tunic or they may not, it depends on individual comfort
Outer Layer
Shawls are often worn, by both men and women which will give a bit extra warmth in the subterranean Snarsisian cities as well as being able to be used as a head and face covering should they go out into sunlight and need the extra protection. The folds of the fabric work as pockets or the shawl can be used to carry heavier objects by strapping it to the person’s back.
Shoes
Traditionally Snarsisians did not wear shoes unless they went above ground, in which case they wore some sort of leather sandals or boots, however, more modern shoes have become popular for everyday wear as well as for traditional snarsisian fashion.
Headgear
As stated earlier, they may wear shawls that double as veils and headwear, but they also have other forms of headwear that are commonly used such as hats and headwear that can then have a veil draped over top for extra protection.
Shaped hats and elaborately draped veils can be used to create fashion statements often seen in extremely formal or wealthy people's outfits.
When underground in the cities, Snarsisians tend not to wear the veils over their face, folding them back over the head, or may not wear them at all.
