Karsanian Traditional Fashion

Karsanian traditional clothing is the historical and traditional clothing articles and styles of the Karsanian people. Towned-down versions are worn for everyday wear with the very fashionable and elaborate articles being worn as formal wear.
Karsanian styles of clothing tend to be very loose and flowy, with extra lengths of fabric draped and pleated across the body; the more excess fabric used the more formal or extravagant the clothing.

Clothing

Base Layer

A base layer consists of a cropped tight-fitting top and a pair of bottoms, either pants or skirts. The bottoms are often loose and more flowing but this is not always the case.
In some cases, a full-body article, like a jumpsuit, will be worn but this is more uncommon and is seen as nontraditional.

Outer Layer

Due to Karsa being a fairly warm planet outer layers are often worn for sun or rain protection rather than protection from cold weather. This makes outer layers quite simple and versatile, with Long lengths of fabric draped over the base layer being the most common and popular.
These lengths of fabric can be wrapped around and draped in various ways such as to make a skirt or to shade the head from the sun. Most commonly they are worn draped over the shoulder in some manner.
In colder climates, thicker lengths of fabric will be worn and wrapped in styles similar to a shawl to cover more of the body.

Sandles are the most common form of traditional footwear and can be very extravagant and decorative. Modernly, they may not be worn for everyday clothes with

Head jewelry is a common form of formal headwear and jewelry, especially for women. This head jewelry is often made up of lengths of chain and will often include pendants that sit at the center of the forehead or on the sides of the head.

Jewelry is quite common, especially for formal wear, with the most common pieces of jewelry being bracelets and anklets, with choker necklaces and upper arm bands also being popular. Long dangelly earrings are often worn by women and men alike.
Jewelry is often made out of metal with little use of precious stones and lots of decorative filigree detailing.
