Gula
Once again you hear a familiar voice within the darkness of your dream"The cold, bleak surroundings return to our senses as the doors to Avaritia close behind us. A strange, disorienting feeling overwhelms me. What we just witnessed, or maybe it was just me, I don't, I can't... the aura... the aura calls again! Were ok, yes we're more than ok. The flames, so blue and beautiful in their brilliance are moving again towards another set of stone doors. Before I have a chance to catch my breath these giant doors begin to open before us. As they open, certain smells begin to emerge from the opening that now stands before us. Such aromas have not graced my senses in what seems like eons, so intoxicating. I that bacon I smell, or perhaps it is some kind of pasta that now beckons to my now grumbling appetite. The others in our group are also enraptured by the fragrances that are emerging from this old, stone gate. Traces of every kind of sustenance and refreshment move us all forward into the dark chamber that lies just beyond us now. As we are guided forward light gently emerges from an unknown source to slowly reveal the grandest banquet I have ever seen. A table adorned with the finest furnishings now appears before me, buckling under the sheer weight of the bounty that sits upon its oak frame. Mountains of food and drink now sit perfectly on the table in front of me, and I couldn't be happier. The others in our group are soon drawn into their own versions of this grand feast, an Eden of indulgence and luxury play out before us all, and oh what a sight it is. A landscape of comestible indulgence stretches to a seemingly endless horizon. As I now indulge myself in another perfect pizza glazed with garlic and butter, a blue flicker flashes at the corner of my eye. I waddle over to the twin flames, too full and fat to move any faster. Peaking out of a small hill of food sits a stone obelisk that resembles the obelisk we found in Avaritia. A single phrase is carved into its cold, bleak exterior. " All food and drink was happily cherished, then the king wanted more and soon it all perished". Etched just below this phrase was a single word, GULA. Upon reading this I suddenly became aware of how fat I had become. Moreover, I looked around and saw that the rest of our party was lost in the mountains of indulgence and excess. Bloated bags of flesh ate relentlessly, devouring both meals and party members alike. Some were vomiting onto what they had been enjoying so fervently, only to lap up once more what was now a pile of putrid mush. Horrified by the spectacle that is playing out before us we both waddle over to the members of our now obese team, trying to bring them out of the frenzied trance that had consumed us all. Those we could reach regrouped with our now morbidly obese party as we try to find a way out of this endless feast. Just above one of the food mountains sits another stone door, where the blue flames now sit awaiting us to reach them. We climbed ever so slowly through both cuisine and bile to eventually reach the stone doors that stand boldly before us. How long it took is anyone's guess, for what is time in this horrid landscape? The doors slowly open before us and we crawl into the now-familiar bleak land of ice and stone. The blizzard chills us to the bone, stinging our flesh and spirits alike. As the doors close behind us all we can hear are the muffled screams of those that we couldn't find in the treacherous mountains of Gula. Our bodies return to a semblance of what they once were before we entered Gula, though both body and mind are now scared by what we have experienced. But what did we experience? Where am I? What.... the aura, so sweet and tender. I'm... ok, yes moe then ok. I'm free! yes free. Come to the blue flames wait for us, let's not keep them waiting."
Architecture
"Do you see the tables buckling under the weight of your appetite? How about the chairs that are burdened with excess and delight? Appearances are different to all, yet also the same. Eat away mortal, and let your stomach guide the way."
Geography
"Mountains to admire, taste, and devour. So much to eat before all the food goes sour. Rivers of wine, soda, and exotic drinks. Candy Cane fields patterned in shades of white and pink. Endless meals piled up to the skies. Blueberry treats and your Grandma's apple pie.So many possibilities, and so little time. Make room for more as you settle down wine and dine. Come and eat, don't be shy! Enjoy the excess of flesh, a delicacy that's truly divine."
