Memory Purveyor is the most common profession among "active" Users. It is a highly competitive and lucrative field because the Administration provides Coin as incentive on top of direct revenue from customers. Many Process and Daemons enter the profession to expand their own memory and capabilities or to adjust the culture of Soulbank toward their ends. The industry is highly diverse, with memory purveyors appealing to the varying tastes of Users. There is a level of prestige associated with being a niche provider for the more discerning or jaded Users, but most large purveyors tend to target large swathes of Users, trying to set the next popular trends.

The simplest form of goods is the Memory Token, a disposable copy of someone's detailed memory for a customer to experience themselves. This has become less common as entertainment programs were developed using Memory Tokens as packages, including code drugs. Because of this intimate level of contact or control over a User's mind, Memory Purveyors are strongly scrutinized by Troubleshooters.

This affords them great influence in Soulbank's culture, though any purveyor that gets too large may experience a precipitous fall if their entertainment goes out of fashion.

Demographics

Users make up a disproportionate number of the leadership among purveyors. AIs maintain a respectable percentage, particularly in niche interests where their perspective appeals to Users seeking more exotic fare. Daemons often hold the shadiest operations, dealing in a black market where customers risk being infected with malware if they trust the wrong salesman.
