Ruvian Elephant
The Ruvian Elephant has a blood hardened past, to match its locale. Native to Isuth the Ruvian Elephant is the largest elephant species in the world, standing at a little over 30ft tall, the Ruvian is a rumbling force on the battle field. Originally used as the main war mount within the Isuth Republic Vs The United Takarez Collective civil war, these terrifying beasts could rampage through entire infantry lines and be not caught unawares.
A literal living tank, their skin is said to be near impossible to penetrate, and their bones twice as sturdy. Ruvian Elephants are solitary creatures unlike many other types of Elephants, and possess a unique pair of split tusks that form a 'V' like shape from their face. These Elephants exist heartily within the wild of Eastern Isuth, but to have one be useable as a mount you have to start young. Wild Ruvian Elephants feed off of the giant dragon head trees that grow within the region, able to spear their tusks through the bark and rip it completely out of the ground to feed itself.
During mating season, a Ruvian becomes extremely enraged, which comes the expression 'Must be a Ruvian's Heat.' within Takarez and Isuth, which essentially means 'A war is brewing.' or 'A fight is bound to happen.' This was because in history, these wars were faught during the Ruvian heat cycles so the Elephants would be more willing to charge their way through anything in their path, and toss wagons and other animals to destruction while their minds are clouded like this.
The military subsect who handles Ruvian's within Takarez and Isuth share a name of 'Tusk Handlers'. Ruvians must wear down their tusks similar to how a rat must wear down its fangs, elsewise they may grow until they get completely out of control and the Elephant can not move its head anymore.
These massive military trained beasts are expensive, generally in the ballpark of 600G for a female, and 1200G for a male which has much larger tusks.
