Metal Gilded Gyaos

The Metal Gilded Gyaos, or otherwise known as the Grand Gyaos or Gyaos, are the largest breed of domesticated bats within Obairix. Standing a little over thirty feet tall at full grown, these extremely long lived megafauna were thought to have been spawned because of Obairix's proximity to Waitifox, as they are native to the area surrounding the Dragon's eye valley and Gothadrum.
The Metal Gilded Gyaos have reflective scaled flaps of skin that make up certain parts of themselves. These colorations can range from copper (orange), to silver (white), to gold (golden), to platnium (gray), to electrum colored (blue). Generally the most saught after ones are the Golden Gyaos', because of their symbolism in the culture of Obairix.
Many stories centered around these beasts use Electrum and Gold colored ones because of their unique looks, but gold has had much more exposure in media such as paintings and stories. The Metal Gilded Gyaos is one of the only mounts that is considered 100% sentient, and can establish telepathic links with those who it respects.
They have a diet consisting mainly of lower bats within the region, which makes them that much more attractive to be owned on symbolic reasons alone by Draculian families.
Any substancial Draculian family has a few of these massive creatures in their stables. However the similarities stop there, as most of these hyper intelligent creatures have a high measure of self preservation, and there have been some incidents where a Gyaos will flee from its master if it believes it is going to be hurt badly, or potentially die in an upcoming fight.
