Marebat

Marebats are short, stocky creatures better suited for pulling carriages and farmers equipment than being ridden. These vertically impared creatures are native to Obairix, and are one of the few flightless types of bats within the region. They have been domesticated to provide a functionality similar to donkeys. However culturally they are seen as anything but 'unsophisticated.' On the contrary, they are seen more in line with symoblism regarded tradtionally with lions and bulls.
Marebats are often used by vampires as a mobile food source as well, as they have quick blood regeneration which helps them serve as a mobile food bank for Nesfurei sufferers whom need food in a pinch.
