Highland Basilisks

"Hearty and extremely hungry Ittrita native lizards with a penchant for long drawn out movement, followed by crashing and sleeping for several days straight."
These huge mounts are generally native only to Premura, Kai'Lunri, and Waitifox. Originally hailing from Waitifox, these cold acclimated reptiles store up energy by soaking in heat for days high in the mountains, and then going into periods of 'rampage' where they will stampede down mountain, kill any prey they find, and come back up. However, some clever Dwarves domesticated a strain of these fearsome predators and made them into hearty companions that generally pull parade floats, or massive caravan lines.   Standing at alittle over 20 feet tall, and moving along the ground similar to Komodo Dragons, Highland Basilisks contain a plumage of feathers atop their head and at the end of their tails. When aggitated these plumes can stand straight upward.   A fully grown Highland Basilisk is never sold, but rather rented out, and generally comes with an overseeing handler at a rate of 5gp/a day.
