IMPORTANT NOTE. If you wish to play a Davi, understand that these creatures are aliens. Davi take things EXTREMELY LITERALLY. Though they are not compelled to listen, or believe, things like metaphors go straight over their heads. Understand that when playing a Davi, if someone is to say 'when pigs fly', a Davi's response will always be 'I am pretty sure there is a breed of flying swine' rather than recognizing it as a way to say 'never gonna happen.' Alongside this, the massive flaw of all spirit-like people, is if they fall in love, they will forever fall in love with that person. Even if it kills them.

Davi

A otherworldly people born of the union of a convert and a mortal, or from a lineage of which. The Davi are a group of both magical beings and gods alike, found throughout all of existence, who understand on a fundemental level the concept and eye awakening reality of inner karmatic enlightment.
— Malthas
On the surface, these individuals appear similar to the spirits of legend: They are long lived beings who take on many traits of the spirits. The truth however, is far more alien. Davi feed on human emotion like vampires to blood, and do not attack people directly to satiate this hunger, rather they telepathically reach into a person's mind to learn what they want most. Then, with a simple touch, they may overwhelm the person's senses with falsities making them believe their wants come true.

Then they may feed off of their muse. There have been Davi for instance known to create large schemes in order to feed off peoples frustration if they run a business related to gambling. Or perhaps an Davi that feeds off people Joy or Hapiness by doing charity work or running a theater.

Davi are one of the few hybrid species, infused with the power of the legendary creatures known as spirits. The descendants of the legendary creatures who long have seemingly left our world.

Technically speaking, the Davi are not a race but rather a general classification of humans who had a heritage (usually unknown) that included some planar spirtual being. (Kitsunes, Onis, Djinn, Etc) which is whence their name is derived.

No two Davi are alike in appearance. Some could pass as normal humans; for others, their spiritual nature was impossible to hide. Their heritage was nearly always evident in one or two physical traits, such as skin or hair color or an otherworldly aura. Some Davi did not have hair at all; for such Davi, the substance that appeared to cover their heads was actually a supernatural expression of their spirtual nature referred to as 'Spirtual Coalessence.'

All Davi had inherent magical powers and resistances related to their lineage. Unlike many planetouched races, Davi generally took pride in their unusual features. Furthermore, because of their great power, most Davi felt a sense of superiority over other races and even over other Davi—including those of the same lineage. The personality of the typical Davi reflected her or his core genetics. For example, a Kitsune Davi might have a "tricky nature" and a Oni Davi would be more "combatitive and easily angered".

Davi are right up with Changelings in terms of population levels, being considered critically endangered. There is less than 5,000 individual Davi in Ammeriam, making up less than 0.03% of Premura's total population. This is mostly because; they are all infertile save for the sole possibility of when they reproduce with a Converted Spirit, or another Davi.     The saving grace of the species is their lifespan. In Premura, Haplio'xan and Yinexia, Davi live around elemental pools, which seem to 'recharge' their youth when they drink from them. Some Davi search out the ancestors of their blood line, in order to become protectors of them, and to gain protection from their great great great great etc grandparents, to show them how to properly use their grand powers. While some Davi were raised by their converted parent directly.   Since spirits can't have children naturally, yet many long for such a blessing, it is extremely common for a spirit to force itself to become a convert, simply for the ability to have children. The converted parent will generally try its best to stay with its child it sacrificed everything for, unable to ever return to being a true spirit, but it is not uncommon for such rare children to be ripped away from their fallen parents, and for the fallen parents to be killed.

MP at level 1 becomes 2 instead of 4, at level 3 becomes 3 instead of 6, etc. As a trade off, you gain Magic Resistance, meaning you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.   Natural Talents. You can create an effect similar to the Friends cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can create a effect similar to the Charm Person once per day as a 2nd-level spell. Once you reach 5th level, you can also create a effect similar to the Detect Thoughts at will. Wisdom or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.   Ease. You can speak to Spirits with no restrictions of elemental polarity. Your spells work with full potency on spirits. Your magic also works in antimagic fields.   Magic Draining Strikes. A Davi's melee attacks can weaken a foe's magic armor, weapon, or shield. If a creature struck in melee by a Davi fails a Wisdom save (DC 10 + Your Wisdom or Charisma modifier, which ever is higher), one of the combat-oriented magic items (armor, shield, or weapon) in its possession is suppressed for 1 round. If a Davi knows a particular weapon, armor, or shield in his foe's possession is magical, he can choose to drain that item, provided that he can see it. Otherwise, the item is chosen randomly. Drained items still detect as magical, but the magic appears suppressed.   Ambient Feeding. The way that Davi feed, is off of the emotions individuals possess. As an action you can harvest a ration from a sentient creature. Make a targeted touch attack, using a non magical equivilent of 'Calm Emotions' if succcessful. You can only use this against that particular creature once every 24 hours. The emotions you pull from people manifest as a purple twisting smoky wisp, which can be stored 1:1 within a glass bottle.   Psionic Weaponry. You have been passed down in your family a ritual that only Davi can use; that creates a magical bond between yourself and one weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. The weapon must be within your reach throughout the ritual, at the conclusion of which you touch the weapon and forge the bond. Once you have bonded a weapon to yourself, you cant be disarmed of that weapon unless you are incapacitated.   If it is on the same plane of existance you can summon that weapon as action on your turn, causing it to teleport instantly to your hand. If you attempt to bond a second weapon you must break the bond with the currently bound weapon. The weapon does count as magic for the cause to overcome resistance and immunities to nonmagical attacks and damage if not already magical. If the weapon is magical, it is reinforced by your Psionic Davi heritage to work on spirits.   Deathless. If the Davi is killed, it regains all it hit points at the next noon unless it's body was destroyed, in which case it will take 1d10 years to rejuvenate at the location of its death. If another Davi is killed by another Davi, Individual with Humanoid, or Undead typing, Spirtual Weapon, or Spirit of any type, the Davi's essence is cast back into the Spirit world and 'destroyed' for good. (See more accurately: Their Essence is Lost Forever in the Wastes.)   Spirtual Inheritence. To rest you enter into a meditative trance like state for 7 hours.
