Beacon Moth
A passive and friendly species, native to the giant wisp trees within Zaurhela, the Beacon Moth is a sight to behold by any whom wishes to tame or own one. Soft and fuzzy all over their bodies with massive compact black eyes, and a signature glowing rump that can work as a mobile sun crystal to banish away the magical darkness of the underbelly, these mounts have grown in specific popularity in two main places. The greater underbelly as a whole partakes in these creatures whenever they can get their hands on them, but their short lifespans of only 2 years make them a hard creature to keep unless you are looking to have a breeding colony of them.
Subsiding on a diet of smaller underbelly insects and decaying fruit from the wisp trees, these giant friendly moth also have a large popularity base within Haplio'xan of all places. Mostly from their exotic looks and their light dispositions which allow travelers to head across the desert with efficiency to out blaze the sandstorms and style for those noblemen who care about that sort of thing.
Beacon Moths can have litters of around 200 individual eggs in one sitting, and they retain the sperm of the male in order to have many more litters to come, only further making their preservation in small communities a nusiance generally than a blessing. The pups of these moths could fly within the hour and could lay waste to massive amounts of crops if left unattended. Beacon Moths often are sterilized before being sold out of Zaurhela for this reason.
Because of their heat proof pelts, and ability to survive within Haplio'xan, it is no surprise that they have also managed to migrate at some points to Aqui, and then upward into Takarez to cause many harvest related problems there. They are generally weak and easy to hit, but tend to come in swarms.
