Arcana Illuzk
"Those tricks that delight and beguile belong to Enchantment, but the ones that may have a bit of a more nefarious twists? Those are illussions. Those tools of the Adahlen, the Demons.. What person uses Illussion magic that may actually be trustworthy?"When detecting this type of magic it appears as Bright Cyan. The School of Illusion focuses on tricking one's senses to observe things that are not. As a tool of a trickster, illusions are often considered as mere party tricks, and this belief isn't entirely unfounded. It is rare in many societies for someone to find calling to use and study all that the illusions have to offer, instead of passing it up as curiosity, practice for apprentices, and idle entertainment of the bards. Illusionist's greatest weapon is their wit and creativity. Illusions can work as powerful tools alongside enchantment, but one must be clever of their application to truly make them count. But once one is, illusions offer creative ways to solve tricky problems with very little effort. Under the Detect Magic-spell, the aura of illusions appears bright cyan. As spells to cast, they feel light and airy, and sometimes little ticklish. Illusions have a connection to both sparkling light and darkness of shadows, making those elements typical to appear during casting, if not suppressed. Illusion spells can be roughly divided into four groups by their usages:
Concealment
Concealment helps the caster hide or make it harder to perceive information to the targets of their mischieve. These spells Some concealment spells include: Blur, Invisibility, Illusory Script and SilenceDeception
Deceptive spells do not just conceal but alter the way the target perceives their surroundings. These spells can stun, scare, or otherwise disorient and deceive targets. Some distraction spells include: Nystul's Magic Aura, Fear, Mislead and Color SpraySensory Effects
Sensory effects are simple images, sounds, and other effects that don't actively hurt anyone but can be rather deceptive or informative to the target. Was it to alter one's appearance or show a person a thing or play them a tune, sensory effects can serve multiple purposes. Some sensory spells include: Disguise self, Minor Illusion, Illusory Dragon and Programmed illusionMaterial Effects
Some illusions are so potent that they can hurt targets or alter reality, becoming material for brief periods, while not completely following the rules of real objects. These illusions can be visible to everyone or just one person in a given time, making them particularly devious. Some material spells include: Shadow Blade, Phantom Steed, Mental Prison and Creation"Illusion spells can misfire, causing the caster to have their senses warped for some time. It is also not unheard of for lonely Illusionist create themselves illusory friends to keep them some company. That isn't good for their mental health for long periods. Also, people might have problems to trust well known illusionists, which makes many more trickstery individuals on the road, changing their enviroment often. The most common problem is the fragile nature of illusions. If the caster miscalculates a situation, images don't nesseserally save them from an angry mob. It is rather easy to get oneself beaten up after miscalculated illusion."|The Great Wizard Lorenzo
