Requirements
He must complete the Ubedil in order to ascend to Kina.
Appointment
When he completes the Ubedil, the boy's or possibly girl's parents must choose an Anai'ish of the tribe train him. When they find one, they go through a ritual which basically forms a pact that says "I trust you to educate and protect my child until he becomes independent". After this the child and parents are taken to the local temple or Magi where the monk performs are ritual on the child. This is then followed by the monk manually tattooing the Kobidu onto his/her right wrist. The Kobidu is a simple diamond shape that will eventually become more elaborate as the child rises through the ranks on his journey to become an Anai'ish.
Responsibilities
A Kina really doesn't actually fight or even really train to fight. The only thing that is taught at this stage is but simple discipline. So this may be things like carrying out menial tasks like polishing weapons and armor, carrying things, etc.
