Ehom
On the surface it is a fairly unassuming plant. Leaf structures radiate out from a small light purple stem. Below the surface lies about five to six long purple pods. Pull this plant out the ground and break one of it's pods open to reveal small kernel or seed like structures all throughout the pod. From these kernels lies the sustenance foundation for many people who inhabit the cold northern regions of Bannos, Tebgi, and Esang.

It takes about 7 weeks to become fully mature. When fully mature, it takes about 2 more weeks for it's pods to fully develop.

Domestication
Ekom was once much smaller with fewer and smaller pods. It was only with centuries of selected breeding which made them bigger with longer and more pods.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
It's farmed as a crop for it's pods which contain kernel or seed like objects within them. These kernels are mostly then steamed or boiled and eaten with many flavoring and as the bases of many dishes. They are also mashed or grounded up to make a flour or meal to be used in the creation of many different types of bread.
