Thunderbird (Albimonte)

Since ancient times, the kingdom of Albimonte has played host to a powerful being of rain and storms called the Thunderbird. These massive creatures lived in peaceful coexistence with the local farmers, watering the vast fields and defending the island from more aggressive entities. A full grown Thunderbird is the size of a building and can generate an incredible amount of wind, rain and lightning on demand. Thunderbirds clutch only rarely, laying a half dozen eggs or less, and their eggs can take years to incubate.
The current Thunderbird Matriarch was captured and experimented on by George Thunderlord in his efforts to take control of Albimonte. Its power was the foundation of the arcane storm wall system Thunderlord devised. The Matriarch was freed from its constraints by a band of Resistance adventurers during their efforts to overthrow Thunderlord and rescue Princess Aurora of Augustford.
