Mallus (Resistance/Shorewydd)
Even in a world full of magic and danger, some individuals develop lives of skill and excellence just by pursuing a single expertise with great dedication. Such is the case with Mallus, former Royal Quartermaster. Born to a family of prosperous merchants, apprenticed to a shipping company. Mallus's whole adult life has led him towards exceptional, almost superhuman skill in logistics.
Every grain of food, every barrel of ale, every sword and shield and bed sheet and gold piece of the Royal Karnian household passed through his care as Royal Quartermaster. He was one of the only Karnian loyalists who almost managed to anticipate the Morin coup. Despite the best effort of Theia accountants and logisticians, their coming betrayal caused small nearly imperceptible ripples throughout the Karnian economy, especially in military finances. He assigned a close friend, the Chief Royal Seneschal to investigate. He only learned after the coup that his friend had been killed some days earlier before being able to pass on what he had learned.
Now Mallus applies those same skills to keep the chronically underfunded Resistance fed and equipped. As much as Orin or Rhyan, Mallus has helped keep the Resistance alive in the face of overwhelming obstacles.
Mallus has the look of an accountant but wields the absolute authority of a General. He wears thin silver spectacles which magically accelerate his ability to read and process information and around his neck he wears a small enchanted ledger held up by a thin strand of leather. The ledger is encoded with layer upon layer of mundane and arcane codes and contains the sum total of Resistance operations in information form.
