Kingdom of Ashes

The Kingdom of Ashes takes up most of Southern Eaben, and technically includes the Cavae subcontinent. Ashes surrounds the Sea of Cavae to the West and most of the Gulf of Ashes to the East.

Largely Sormelah, with a small pocket of Valdam in the northern moutain region. The Cavae region is technically part of Ashes, but the Cavaede Confederacy is the dominant political organization of that area.

History

Ashes was founded in what is locally the year zero, about 1000 years post collapse. Originally containing only the province of Formisland, the house of Ashes was able to expand to control the nearby kingdoms of Rustland and Rogravia through a combination of diplomacy and military prowess, with Rustland signing the Treaty of Myrimardet in the year 80 and Rogravia siging the Trofoya Accords in 88. The Pact of Gjeham in 104 officially recognized the Cavaede Confederacy as controlling Cavae under the authority of the King of Ashes, with the provinces of Skrolar and Gerleanse being carved out as officially under the full authority of Ashes.
