Divine Symbols & Sigils
The Star and Crescent
A symbol that has persisted since antiquity, this symbol depicts an upward-facing crescent with a star, commonly interpreted to be Sol, in between its two points. It is believed that this symbol is an ancient glyph meaning "month", though modern historians believe it symbolizes the two deities' spiritual union.
The Lunar Rat
A symbol that seems to be based in Human mythos, this rodent is said to be seen in the darkened areas on Lune's surface. It represents mystery, or fear of the unknown, in many cultures-- in folklore, however, it is known as a benevolent house spirit. Sometimes it is seen, alongside Lune herself, on The Lune card in human Tarot.Tenets of Faith
- Know when to take breaks: tired bodies make sloppy mistakes.
- Embrace your eccentricities: your uniqueness brings others joy.
- Give your mind a rest: a little downtime every day keeps one healthy.
- Enjoy the small comforts in life: they might become life-saving someday.
Holidays
World Health Week: Mors 36th-42nd [Limos 1-7, or April 26th-May 2nd]
A week in the middle of Mors, World Health Week brings awareness towards the individual's health, both mental, physical, and spiritual. Oftentimes, certain cultures [most notably the Ooshiman] hold lunar ceremonies near or within the week, as the Mid-Mors harvest moon holds spiritual importance.Fête de Lune [Lunar Fest]: Lune 36-42 [Achos 8-14, or July 26th-August 1st]
A week-long festival initially made to celebrate the year's crop and livestock yields, Fête de Lune is now used as a day of merry-making, gift-giving, and overall having fun. The latter half of the week is usually taken off, for both schoolchildren and working adults, when they usually have a feast with their family and loved ones.Divine Goals & Aspirations
Lune's ultimate goal is to help her brother, Thalapontos, push and pull the seas, and gift the planet's inhabitants a little bit of light when Sol is away. Like her spouse, her personal goal is to make time for Sol, though she also has the additional goal of watching over her brother. She may have a minor role in the apocalypse, too.
