Asefa

The All-Father (a.k.a. Vite)

"The All-Father. Everyone on Typhon's Teeth worships him, and mostly everyone on the entire planet has heard of him. Humans, interestingly enough, call him Vite, or "life". They even devoted a full season towards him, when the plants bloom and the fauna of the mainland find their mates. It's very fitting, however: after all, he was the birther of all things."
---An entry from Ke'tlan's journal of Solarian Mythos
Background information (5e)

Follower of Asefa

Followers of Asefa follow his tenants, and tend to extend their hand to those in need. They typically have passions that they are more than happy to share with others, and encourage others to share their interests as well.
Skill Proficiencies: Insight, plus Persuasion if you are either a monotheist or monolatric
Languages: Two of your choice
Equipment: A holy symbol bearing the lemniscate, a silver chalice, a book containing hymns or notes, a bottle of ink, an ink pen, a set of common clothes, and a belt pouch carrying 10 gp

Feature [Monotheist or Monolatric]: Researcher
Being a follower of Asefa only, you carry your ambition like him, and have extensively studied your particular interests. If you are unfamiliar with a piece of lore, you generally know where you can find that information.
Feature [Other]: Shelter of the Faithful
You are capable of getting free healing and care at an Asezhurin Temple; if you need a place to stay, they will modestly house you, but may not extend that to your allies. If you are familiar there, you may ask for their assistance.
Domain Information (5e)

Domain of Life

To no surprise, Asefa, the All-Father, has influence over the Domain of Life, as he is the creator of the planet and many of the souls that live on it.

Priests of Asefa that specialize in the Life Domain are usually in charge of healing the sick and injured, especially within temple grounds.

Domain of Knowledge

Asefa is well known for his ambition, as it was him that created the planet, the solar system, and the deities that allowed Life to proliferate.

Priests of Asefa that specialize in the Knowledge domain are usually in charge of teaching within temple grounds, and learning outside of them.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Silver Chalice

In every single piece of work that depicts Vite, the deity is holding a silver chalice. The chalice is known to represent the Planet, and he is known for filling it consistently. In Daemonic, the metal silver [aseya] has an explicit word association with Vite, who in Daemonic is known as the Silver God.

The Infinity Symbol

This symbol is a comparatively-modern one, it mostly coming into use when human influences started to come into play. There is a bit of morbidity to this shift of influence, as the human interpretation of Vite replaced his neck with a stump emblazoned with the symbol. His visage, after all, is present on The Magician Tarot card.

Tenets of Faith

  1. Assist when you are asked for: this establishes a growth of trust.
  2. Live for your own creations: they will grant you much joy in the future.
  3. Teach others your craft: the continuation of tradition ensures your eternity.
  4. Encourage others: the growth of your own community will create a healthy environment.

Holidays

Year's End: Vite 0 [Khronos, or September 13th]

This holiday is special, as the planet appears to suspend in stasis during this day. Science has yet to properly explain why this happens, but in spite of that, the day marks the end of the current year and the start of a new one. Year's End is a day of reflection and preparation for the new year.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Vite has already met his ultimate goal: to populate the Planet for which caught his eye. As for his current aspirations, continuing the cycle of life when necessary is what he's up to. Vite births the mortals and the gods, both those of his name and that of Zhulesha's. After all, Vite is only half of what he once was.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Vite is best characterized by his beacon-like head, opened to reveal multiple cyan points of light, whether stars or flames. Another important feature of his is his golden-tipped, three-clawed arms, and his exposed skin is the Cosmos contained within the white wraps of his arms and main body.   Vite hardly makes himself appear physically on the planet-- rather, he prefers to step within the dreams of his sleeping children. This means that Vite can take on any appearance within the mind's eye, influenced by the individual's perception of the god.

Relationship Reasoning

Mors is literally the other half of Vite, split when the stress of overpopulation overwhelmed him.

Shared Secrets

Their main shared secret is The Day of Blackened Sky: the moment that Vite becomes overwhelmed once again and Solaris' fate is sealed via Mors' hungry jowls.

Shared Acquaintances

As they are two halves of a single individual, all acquaintances are shared between the two. No deity created by them seems to resent either, as they are fully aware of the world's state.
