The Aeternus Imperium Ban Slavery

In the ealy 900's a man named Severus Kapri arose form obscrutity to lead a revolution of relgious ferver around the empire. Severus was a former slave, who upon conversion from Mara worship saw a vision from Azreal. A door closed as is common in his iconography, but of shakles breaking, of men being recruited from thigh and low to hold the door shut besides Azreal, of grasping claws and mighty limbs pushing at the other side. All men would need thier hands and souls free to hold back the tide of evil.   This religious fervor swept the empire, until the church and the Imperium had no choice but to ban slavery.
