King Hrothvar III
Hrothvar the Third is the reigning king of Nordheim, crowned in the 578th year of Azrael’s Era. A grandson of Hrothvar the First, he bears the weight of legacy without the luxury of legend. Raised within the Elkmark tradition of stoicism and service, he came to power by heriditary right, given in the Storm of Oaths.
He is a king marked by more caution rather than glory in his later years after the sacking of Delphos. Where his grandfather forged oaths in battle and fire, Hrothvar III governs through balance—between the Jarls and the crown, between tradition and trade, between the old gods and the slow creep of southern ways. He keeps a tight court at Allfather’s Summit and rarely speaks in public, preferring to let law and custom carry his will.
He is married to Queen Ragna, and has 3 sons and 2 daughters. Critics whisper that he is too slow to act, too careful in speech, and too generous to Jarls who undermine the throne. But none question his discipline, nor the quiet strength with which he holds the kingdom together—at least, for now.
