Sovereign Citizen
The Sovereign Citizen is a heavily customized Chainbridge Model FC-1 Airborne Galleon formerly owned and captained by Petey Wheatstraw. It is currently the primary residence and transport for a crew titled “The Fucking Furies”. The ship has traveled throughout Solace to places such as Razor Rock, The Bountylands, Crossroads, Banpour, and Felize.
Originally built to catch and transport pirated vessels from the bounty sea, the Sovereign was purchased second-hand by Kylar King, who installed a larger advanced Elemental engine, upgraded the communication systems, and retrofitted the interior to function as a luxury hotel and casino. The Fucking Furies added super-shield and advanced surveillance systems salvaged from Apotheon’s Scrapyard by the Kobold mechanic P’mis.
It looks very much like a normal seagoing vessel with a V profiled hull. The aft section that channels the Elemental engine is formed slightly wider like wings, or the side hulls of a fighter ship. The most functional interior space of the ship is in the lower deck which houses the casino and the hangar bay.
The bridge is located directly above the penthouse suite. It resembles the deck facing bridge of a fishing vessel, minimalist and overlooking the main deck. The bridge is lined with large double windows with circular frame elements. There is a single window at the middle, directly facing forward, and three more on either side completing the curve backward to form a U shaped floor space. There are also two trapezoidal windows in the ceiling for observing above the ship.
At the very front of the bridge there is a workstation for long distance communications. This seat is is where Lucinda navigates and is the one directly facing the front window. Right behind the comm-officer's station there is a charting table. It is about 2 x 3 meters covering the middle part of the bridge.
Characters are often seen manipulating the table which has a touchscreen-like magical interface. The technology of the console seems to be more modern than what is usually seen in the Sovereign. Just above the chart table, there are gauges for many systems and a radar, stacked side by side as circular screens. At the port side, towards the rear and somewhat elevated, is the helm. Horatio and Maela are often seen here piloting the ship at the twin control stations. There are a multitude of levers in the console, and a comm screen for speaking to other ships and the party’s sending stones.
The bridge ends aftward with the access stairs down to the upper hotel space, from where there is a path to the middle deck bar.
All living spaces in the ship are placed inside the inner hull of the ship, where the interior is provided with artificial gravity by the Elemental engine.
The hotel starts from the end of the bar, extending through most of the ship’s 2 middle decks. On the inside, characters are often seen walking down the halls and stairs, or using it for passing from one room to another. Several rooms are shown to accommodate crew and passengers the size of giants, so all common entryways and many cabin doors are oversized. Along the corridors, there are hatchways for accessing the penthouse and bridge towards the front, the bar towards the center, and the crew quarters towards the back.
The Penthouse is the room we see the Fucking Furies spending most of their time on the ship, oftentimes doing research, training, or just hanging out in a more private setting. The furniture consists of a massive circular couch, a table, and several chairs. It is a large single space room with a high ceiling. Along the walls there are large doors to several suites that have more space and even better accommodations than the rest of the ship. The Penthouse is connected to the upper hotel with a large set of double doors that also lead to the rest of the ship. On an elevated platform, there is another set of seating and large windows for observation.
The galley is accessed from a saloon door leading to the bar. It has an industrial layout, the stoves resembling blowtorches, with stainless steel and piping visible throughout the space. This room is mostly used by Zephyr, unless Rakel and Jimmy use it as a smoking zone when the ship is in the high atmosphere. The galley has its own walk-in Fridge and Freezer for food storage. Arret prepares his famous Ortemhan Pancakes here."
