Marin Jua-Na

Maela's father; handles lots of mechanical inventions. A man that has died many deaths and has a very peculiar streak of luck. He married the goddess of luck and had an unnaturally long lifespan. Eventually he convinced her to have a child that they named Maela, she protested heavily as she was getting a bad feeling, but he was able to convince her to go through with it. After the birth her health steadily declined and she wanted to consume Maela to get back whatever piece of her was lost, Marin defended his daughter and over the course of the next 2 decades, Lady Luck became an unrecognizable monster. On Maela's birthday each year she comes to the material plane to try and eat her, this last year Marin died and their farmstead was destroyed. Maela and the crew came to investigate and found a clone pod with Marin inside. Restored, he joined the crew as he no longer had a home since Maela had sold it to her childhood friend Petunia. Marin also died and was resurrected during the Crossroads Massacre, and briefly spent some time as a hand attached to a clone of Arret during which he revealed his past to Maela.
