Johan Reis
Johan Reis is a powerful hunter in the Order of the Silver Chain. His family has a long history in the Duchy of Moreau, unique in that a majority of its members were half-elf even with some pure elves remaining married into the families for centuries. The family were merchants responsible for trading with elvish partners. This close working relationship with the elves resulted in the unique racial makeup of the family. Yet trading was not what Johan was destined to be as he was invited into the Order as a young man after he successful killed a werewolf that attacked a trading convoy he was in.
Johan was a natural fit within the Order insofar that he was really good at killing monsters. He became known as a fierce warrior that spent as much time in Royal Archives researching ancient tomes to gain an advantage, as he did in the field fighting evil. All members of the Reis family were given a formal education and Johan employed this scholarly approach in his new life as a member of the Order. His great success as a hunter awarded him great respect within the Order but this was tempered by his liberal leanings. He fiercely argued for reform to the organization in the face of its dwindling numbers in the face of greater and greater evils.
