Hobgoblin

Hobgoblins, also known as Goblins, are a sapient species characterized by exceptional battle prowess and organizational skills. Hobgoblins tend to be highly social, carnivorous, nocturnal, and their communities often incorporate other races to utilize their specific strengths. They are well known to be beastmasters, warlords, and natural leaders, that tend to enjoy well rounded skills and a wide knowledge base.  

History

Hobgoblins are native to Solace, favored by the Old Gods that created the island. For thousands of years they lived in harmony with Giants, Orcs, and Beastmen during the Primal Peace, but not much is known about this era outside of the secretive Giant Chronicles. The prominent consequence of this time is their blood feud with the Elves, which often erupts in battle to this day. They have been split into several distinct ethnic groups after the use of Dark Magic during the Dragon War and The Tragedy of Mamlakat Hadaan physically and mentally altered entire nations of Hobgoblins.   Traditional Hobgoblins are tall (Between 6-8 Feet typically) with powerful corded muscles, fangs, 5 clawed fingers and toes, and typically leonine features such as a flat nose with large eyes designed to see in the dark. Their skin tones are typically red, brown, and orange, with some rare examples being blue or purple. Goblins are smaller (Between 2-4 Feet typically) with strong, wiry frames, slippery oily skin, 3 fingers and toes, and oversized noses, ears, hands, feet, and heads. Their skin tones are typically green and brown, with some rare examples red or black. Bugbears are the largest of the Hobgoblins (Between 8-9 Feet Typically) with massive strength and ursine features, long arms and torsos with stocky legs, thick hair covering most of their bodies, 5 clawed fingers and rear paws, and a short tail. Their skin tones are usually mottled pinks and browns. They mostly inhabit Wildwood Boneyard, and usually are only seen in great numbers elsewhere when they wage war against the humans or elves the surround their territory.

Can survive without food for up to 2 weeks, Can survive without sleep for up to 8 days, Can survive without water for 4 days, Can survive without air for 10-15 minutes   Sexually Monomorphic-Very slight differences between males and females in terms of social roles and size, females are able to nurse for years after giving birth, and will often nurse children communally   Puberty-Age 10   Full Adulthood-Mid 20's   Mammalian   Reproduction-Atrical Species, Pregnancy is very short (about 3 and a half months) so children are very small and vulnerable for about a year   Non-Magical physiology, Carnivorous
