Warforged

A great feat once engineered by the Dactium Artificers, the Warforged were originally created as immortal guardians of the Empire's Eternal sacred sites. Later on, others were crafted for the nobles' whims, before Greater Dactium collapsed and lost its many provinces. Eventually, the Golden Host [Dactium Ruler] released the Warforged of their service and many were left to their own, seemingly aimless whims. This release was later revoked, though many Warforged had already set off to make their own lives elsewhere. They are a scarce and scattered peoples who inhabit many different regions in minute numbers, following their own purposes. Legend says the Pale Nobles of Dactium yet keep some Warforged and that some of their most trusted knights are Warforged who hide their identity in service of Dactium's ruler.
