Survivalism, Religion of Change

Summary   Survivalism is one of the oldest religions known in the world. Followers of the religion worship the actions of creation and destruction that drive the world, as well as spirits they believe inhabit everything that exists.   Core Beliefs   Survivalism teaches self-sufficiency as a primary tenet. All followers are taught from a young age how to survive on their own, using that which belongs to them. They also believe that a person's soul is spread throughout the world, waiting to be gathered together. This creates a complicated concept of personal property, where anything found in the wilds by an individual is considered to have always been theirs, and always will be. The primary goal of a Survivalist is to unite their soul into artifacts which they either wear or use to change the world around them. This also extends to food, creating complex rituals to take the soul of living things to make it one's own.   Rituals   Survivalism has many rituals, which are often seen as overly complicated to outsiders.   Ritual of Binding. This is the Survivalist marriage ritual. The minimum requirements are the two people being bound together, a stick and tool crafting item that belong to each, thus containing their soul, and a priest to officiate the wedding. The engaged offer their items to the priest, who has performed a purification ritual beforehand so as to not taint their soul with his/her own, and crafts with them a hoe, which will symbolize their union.
