Mermaids & Sirens

Mermaids and Sirens belong to the same species, but are classified as different for important reasons. One should first know that they are largely similar in appearance. Both are anthropomorphic beings with a majestic fish tail instead of legs. They have webbed ears and fingers, colorful scales, and glittery hair. It is crucial to note that how the two act is tremendously different. Mermaids are aesthetes with extraordinary skill in any artform. Though friendly and peaceful, their intelligence tends to be lacking. This is because although they are curious, they are cowardly and lazy. Sirens are ambitious, prideful, and fiercely loyal to their kind. They wish to better themselves using any means necessary. This includes powerful singing to enthrall other beings.
