Oviparity and Eggnancy

A condition that is a side effect of a Miinu's natural reproduction cycle.

Causes

Every 60 days in warm seasons, biologically female miinu will undergo a process of an oviparous cycle, where their bodies will prepare to create offspring in the form of eggs. Near the last 5-10 days of the cycle, the miinu will experience symptoms comparable to mensuration in humans, as their body builds an egg and prepares to lay it.   Certain conditions need to be met for the process to occur. For instance, a miinu must be healthy and getting a decent amount of nutrients. The temperature also needs to be warm, as the body can't produce viable eggs if the body is too cold or metabolic rate is low. Some species also need extra nutrients to trigger the process, such as blood-sucking miinu like mosquitos.

Symptoms

Ovulation occurs at the beginning of the cycle, it is the most mild stage only lasting for 24 hours. This is when the ovum detaches from ovary and awaits feralization. Miinu at this stage may experience a mild pinching pain from this, as well as increased hunger and libido.   Things are relatively normal after this point as the egg will stay put where the miinu has the opportunity to fertilize it or not. Regardless, it'll move onto the next stage and make it's way through ovaduct.   During this process, Miinu will experience painful cramping in their abdomen, as well as swelling and tenderness in the area. They may even notice the feeling of the egg shifting, which can be uncomfortable. Pressure in the region may irritate the bladder and colon, making the miinu feel like they have to go to the bathroom more frequently. Hormones may also cause mood swings, nausea, and body temperature fluctuations.   Symptoms will grow in severity up until the egg needs to be laid, in which the egg is pushed out of the body in a sometimes painful process. An egg will occur whether it was fertilized or not. More often than not, it will not be, and it can be disposed of however you see fit.

Treatment

The only thing that can be done is wait it out. Rest and taking things easy during this time is highly recommended, as unneeded stress or activity can cause cramps to worsen. Heat can be applied directly to the sore spots to relax the muscles and ease pain. Some medicinal pain relief can also be used, though carefully as to not effect the condition of the egg.

Prevention

There is no way to prevent oviparity as it's a natural part of a healthy miinu body. Though in some cases where exrtra steps must be taken to produce eggs, avoiding the triggers would prevent the cycle from starting.
