Character Creation

This short article will introduce you to the requirements and the possibilities of character creation for the Slimea Multiverse. Each character that becomes fully canon in our world requires a world anvil character article in this world. As we can't and won't give all people access to writing articles, we can copy your information into this world after you give permission and add you as the owner and creator in the author header area above the article.

Create your character

1. Join our open-community Discord to ask questions directly and to learn more about our world. It will help you with character creation for sure!
2. Create a World Anvil Account. It's required for further steps, as well as allows you to see NSWF-Articles.
3. In your World Anvil account, you must activate the RPG-Character Manager Feature.
4. Now you can create your character in the characters menu. Simply click at the top of the dropdown and select characters. There you can create a new one. You don't need to select a Pen and Paper system. Slimea is not based on any dice system anyway. We are not forbidding it nevertheless, so feel free to experimentate.
5. Hint: For your avatar, please use an SWF Image (No nudity or blood), and use between 200px and 500px for the size please.
6. Now you can write out your character a bit. After you think you are mostly done with the basics, show it in the community or send it to Drackzahn directly.
7. After confirmation, you will get a code. With this code, you can link your character with our world. Now all the information you have added will also appear in our world in the form of a new article.
8. Now you can provide us with further information. Some can only be added by editing the article directly, like species, ethnicity, banner image, Credits, etc. We can do that for you with your help.
9. Done! Your character is now part of Slimea. You can use it for canon Roleplays in our world and explore this magical world together with us!
10. Optional: We have an internal-community discord in addition to the more open one. To enter that one, you must go through a voting process by our admins. The internal server is more for core members. Not all will be able to join. People who are more invested into Slimea and help us with lore writing will more easily get access, same as artists. If you just want to explore the world and roleplay in it, you won't need access to this internal server.

Rights

By creating your character in the Slimea Multiverse, our community, you are becoming a part of this community through your character. The actions and the art revolving around your character influence our world.

1. All rights to your character stay with you. It is your creation and we won't want to claim your char or anything like that.
2. By adding your char to our canon, your char stays in canon. Even if you leave our community or become inactive, your character stays canon in our lore and may still be mentioned in older articles. Typically, if you are no longer an active part of our community, we just say that your character is on travel or just not active in public anymore. That also means that, if you come back, you can just use your character and describe what they have done during the past months/years.
3. You are in control of your character. If you don't want that your char gets in contact with certain aspects of our world that are avoidable, then they do not get in contact. Nobody is allowed to force things onto your character except yourself.

New Ideas

We as a community are open to new ideas. That means that, if you have a great idea for a new species, a new job, a new company in our world, etc, then speak to us. Generally, the longer you are part of our community and the more active you are, the greater the freedom we grant to influence the lore with your new ideas. This is to protect our lore against half-finished articles and ideas, which we later have to clean up. Very active and trustful members enjoy great freedom. We generally try to allow you as much freedom as possible and only limit it if it is too big of an influence on the world or if it just doesn't work with our canon and lore. Also, the idea should be in the general theme of our world.

Model

We wish that we know how your character looks. That means that your character needs some kind of model or picture. This may be a drawing or a model in an editor that can create good-quality pictures like Kisekae2. If you are a great lore writer, but no artist, then speak to us from the team. We will find a solution to give your char a face.

Stay in Canon

Your character, their background, and their actions should always stay in canon. Typically, normal characters are not heavily affected by this during their lives. Your character is part of our world and their actions influence them. We try to uphold a certain amount of freedom and a certain amount of restrictions to let the world feel logical in its way. Let us give you an example. You write in your background that your character was elected as the president of a major nation of our world. That would have a huge impact on the general canon and we have to confirm this before you are allowed to write it into your character's background. We would have nothing against it if you add that your character founds and leads a local supermarket or became a Hunter or similar things, as these do not affect the world heavily but only your char and their surroundings. Typically, if you are asking yourself if something would work or be ok in canon, just speak to us.

Available Species

The selection of the species of your character is a major decision. While Slimea has many ways of changing the species of your char due to certain events, items, or magic, it is typical that your char at least stays as a single species for a long time or forever. (Not including temporary transformations into other species here) Most species of our world are available for you to create an OC of them. There are only very few species that have restrictions due to the in canon low number of individuals in these species. To these restricted species found: Balloon Fox, Plush Dog Restricted species are only allowed for long-term members of our community and only if the canon allows it. We want to keep their number low. Similarly, a certain Mutation has a similar restriction: Godhood There can't be hundreds of gods running around after all and each god has a huge influence in the world due to their extensive powers.

Background

The background of your character, their history mainly, should be informative and interesting. There is no need to write a whole long book about them, but some major aspects of them should be answered in their history, their education, their likings and dislikes and so on. Here are some basic questions you can ask yourself to help write down your character.

• When and where was your character born/reborn?
• Has your character's family? How was their childhood?
• What kind of education and job does your character have in society?
• What Species is your character and do they have mutations?
• What are the goals in life, short and long-term, of your character?
• What about their connections? To organizations? To Nations? To Religions?
