Glyci

The home planet of the Glyceans. The dark and rocky surface has a splintered appearance; the cracks between are filled in with the planet's deep, cold ocean.

Ecology:

Glyci's rocky surface is splintered into jagged and thin continents with little life to be seen. Almost all of Glyci's life lies beneath the surface of its cold, dark, and conductive oceans. This life includes the thriving Glycean civilization. Life in Glyci's ocean is dependent on currents both physical and electrical, with the lack of light giving way to a strong electrical sense among most of its life forms. Many native organisms have adapted to sensing, outputting, or manipulating the ambient electricity in the ocean to their advantage. This electrical field is enhanced by the high iron content of the planet's rock and soil, as well as its native repulsite: a rare mineral that exhibits anti-gravity properties when electrically charged.   The upper shallows of the oceans are rich with aquatic life, while the middle depths are the domain of the Glyceans. Since it is difficult for non-aquatic species to visit this planet, visitors are highly uncommon on the main body. The many lunar colonies, however, are often host to ambassadors and curious tourists.

History:

Glyci is the glycean homeworld, and has been their home since their creation. While once the site of a territorial war with the Terrkarakki, today the planet boasts a long history of relative stability.

Locations:

Glyci is home to the Central Glycean Mortuary Archives, where glyceans combine and store the record they keep during their lifetime for public or private reference.
