Aster-Rip Co. is a mindbogglingly successful multi-system asteroid mining conglomerate. Not only do they profit from their mining operations, but they have expanded by acquiring companies that deal in processing those minerals, the construction companies that build their equipment, food companies that feed their workers, ship-builders, and more recently even lifestyle brands.
Founded in the new age by a partnership of Seven Star and Karhakkas entrepreneurs, this company has grown enormously due to its well-timed and negotiated deals made during the new-age wave of planetary expansion. Often, the company will aid settlers with supplies and technology in exchange for exclusive mining and ore selling rights, similar to deals made by the Krakki Trade Federation. While the Krakki and Humanity both have their own strategies and companies within their own spaces, Aster-Rip Co. is one of the most dominant mineral companies in neutral and multi-species space.
The largest of ARC's operations can grow to act almost as colonies of their own: operating as a company town on a stellar scale.
