The astropathic choir on Kulak picked up an urgent plea for aid as the independent human world of Greyskull was under attack from the woken metallic dead. Deducting it was the Necrons previously encountered on Ullr Primus, Command HQ hastily assembled and jumped a small force from the 9th Recon Battalion, recalling who they could from leave on Sanctuary, to the planet to face the threat.   The response was too little, roo late and despite the valiant efforts of the Battalion, the Necron Iverlord managed to detonate a device that has left an entire continent northing more than and irradiated wasteland.
