Marshal Secondus

Marshal Secondus, sometimes written as Marshal (II) is a senior rank within the paramilitary arm of the Adeptus Arbites, with one having to have served as a frontline Arbitrator and Proctor before reaching this ranks.

Responsibilities

A Marshal Secondus has great authority within the Adeptus Arbites, having proven themselves to be exceptions upholder of the law with a good degree understanding of its interpretation and to possess good diplomatic skills, and as such are granted great autonomy in carrying out their duties.   Whereas a Marshal Primus will be the commander of an entire sector's worth of Arbitrators, a Marshal Secondus will either be given control over a system or two's resources or an entire judicial fleet and it is entirely up to them to decide how to enforce the rule of Imperial Law in their given region/s of responsibility and it's unique and current circumstances. They will know of all investigations underway and usually have their own independent and dependable body of agents and arbitrators whom they can call on for more specialised assignments. Only a Lord Inquisitor, Judge or Marshal Primus can overrule their decisions
