Studial
Studials are people who have the ability to touch an object and know information regarding it. These people are powerful knowledge-seekers and are best when it comes to investigation, especially since high levels can look into the 'memories' of an object, seeing what it has in the past. Ancient and unknown relics are not so in the hands of a studial, who can touch it and know scores of information about it's use, any enchantments or magics on it, and so on.
Level I:
You have the ability to touch an item and see flashes of information about it. Small tidbits that may be useful or not. If you're looking for something specific, however, roll Study with a DC of 15. You can only do this to the same object once per long rest. Level II:
You've become more adept in manipulating the things you see, able to refine what you learn. Roll Study with a DC of 10. If you pass, choose what you would like to learn about the object. You can learn Memories that the object has witnessed, which will require another Study roll to fine-tune what memory you'd like to see. You can also learn about what magics reside in them, if multiple effects or magics reside in an item, you can only study one at a time. You can also learn the item's function, learning a bit on how it's used and possibly gaining a buff in using it. However, keep in mind that you can only study the same object once per short rest. Level III:
At the peak of your ability, you can peer into an item without even touching it yourself. However, there has to be a solid connection to the item you wish to scry. For example, a relic on a stone pedestal in a museum is easy, as it has a solid connection from you, through the solid brick ground, and up the stone pedestal. However, examining an item someone is holding is far more difficult as the human body is soft and may dissolve the magic link between you and the item you're studying. Items suspended in the air can't be focused on at all. Level IV:
You have become a creature of pure knowledge, knowing anything and everything there is to know about the world. Everything in the world is connected, even if one doesn't realize it. Even alternate worlds are connected through the aether that binds them, giving you the ability to scry into alternate realities. You can also see the alternate timelines of an item, the different possible pasts and futures it could or may experience.
