Shift
The shift affinity is somewhat similar to Dislocation, except, not at all. Those with this ability can enter a wraith-like form where they become incorporeal and only take minimal damage; they also move at an extremely fast pace. They cannot interact with the world though. Their equipment will morph with them, but bullets or arrows in this form will simply transmit through objects and blade will pass through enemies. While in this form, they will have damage reduction depending on the amount of points dedicated. This ability will always cost 5 energy or stamina to activate. How it drains over time is determined by your level. While draining from a pool, you cannot regenerate points in it.
Level I:
You have the ability to enter a wraith-like form, draining 3 stamina or energy per turn after the first. While in this form, you take 50% of physical damage and are vulnerable to all magical damage. However, due to this being the lowest level, you have no special speed boost in this state and cannot move through solid matter. However, you are not affected by rough terrain. Level II:
Your wraith-form now only costs 2 stamina or energy per turn after the first. You've also learned a slight bit about the time dilation that comes with this ability, moving at double speed while in this form. You also take no physical damage in this form and area advantaged in resisting magical effects. However, you still take all magical damage. Level III:
Now taking only 1 stamina or energy per turn, your control over your abilities is at its peak, gaining an extra 2 AP when in this form and losing it when falling out. You also only take 50% of any magic damage in this form, and gaining immunity to magical effects. Level IV:
Your final ascension, you are now a ghost, nothing more; a shadow of who you once were. You are immune to all damage, effects, and even matter while in this form. You also move at triple speed. This ability is also free for each turn sustained after the first. However, it still counts as a drain on your energy or stamina pool.
