Gaiden
There was something off about the elf. Her eyes were a bit more muted than the others, her stance slumped as if exhausted, and the light that filled most living beings seemed dim within her. However, despite this absolute lack of energy, she showed tremendous capability, able to slam through entire textbooks in minutes, study and memorize specimens in seconds, and comprehend information faster than any scholar could dream. The devotion to her craft was stronger than dwarven steel and her capabilities far more flexible than any creature could manage. Her birthline would show how strong knowledge can be.Children of a wise goddess, the Gaiden originate from Ellenya, one of the first elves that rose from the sea with Velana. While all of the elves that rose were borne of Gaima's essence, Ellenya was borne with the largest shard of the goddess, causing her to be unique from the others. Due to this, her bloodline shows an extreme tendency towards knowledge, able to learn skills and crafts faster than any other race. However, as a result, they are physically sluggish, most of their energy devoted to their mental power. Gaiden also tend to show a lack of emotion, unable to feel as strongly as other races and, as such, almost always take a neutral standpoint. That's not to say they can't feel or forge attachments, but feelings are mostly devoted to the things they care about such as allies, their crafts, or items of their craft. Friendships with the Gaiden are hard to forge, but lifelong, even into the afterlife.- Children of Hope
Basic Information
Anatomy
Gaiden can have various elf traits. However, they tend to have a grey-colored skin, their eyes milky and lifeless. They also cannot walk for long amounts of time, either. Instead, they float a few inches off the ground and move that way, but at a slower pace than most. Despite this lack of energy, they can pull themselves out of their mind for a time if required of them, such as during battle or excitable events, and are able to hold their own perfectly fine.
Genetics and Reproduction
Gaiden can have children with other Gaiden or with other elves. The offspring, however, is always a Gaiden.
