Border Realms

Realms that border the Overworld, these are the realms that are frequently traveled to and experienced by others and are well known throughout the world. Below is a list of the major border realms, where they lie, and what one can expect of them.

Aether

A realm of light and transcendence, Aether is a strange realm that is said to be connected above the Overworld. It's thought to have once been an afterlife of sorts, a place where the elder gods once ruled. However, seeing as souls are recycled into new bodies on death and the elder gods are gone, Aether is now just a ghost town of what it once was... An empty world of purity. Those who visit return-... changed, however, all of the darkness removed from their being. This is not a good thing, as many may believe. Pure good is just as destructive and abominable as pure evil.

Arcadia

A realm of angels and order, Arcadia is a place of floating cities and unwavering law. Visits tend to be swift and to-the-point as spending too long in Arcadia increases the chances for one to make a mistake, which could result in banishment or execution.

Purgis

Purgis is not unlike the Fey Wilds, and it is thought that it was used as a blueprint in the Fey Wilds' creation. A world of neverending wilderness, it is an uninhabited world at the whims of beasts, animals, and the chaos of nature. Nobody has been able to conquer the world, or keep a stable founding there, the creatures of Purgis easily wiping out any order to be established.

Limbo

Limbo is near the polar opposite of Aether and, in some cases, is used as a place to drop the worst prisoners in existence. Its said that wandering the wastes of Limbo is a fate worse than death. A place of infinite darkness, Limbo is the embodiment of nothingness, and wandering the world for any extended amount of time begins to wear on one's soul, tearing away any hope or humanity until they become the only other residents of this world: Nightmares.

Netherealms

When one thinks of Hell, they think of the Netherrealms. The opposite of Arcadia, the Netherrealms are places of extreme chaos, where anyone can do whatever they want with no thought of the consequences. As such, this is a place where many demons decide to live, and where many demons come from. Its a dangerous world where one could find friends, allies, monsters, or literally anything in-between. It also has a few sub-sections that host different types of demons and creatures.

Fey Wilds

A world that overlaps the Overworld, the Fey Wilds are a mischievous place, home to nature spirits, fairies, faeries, sylvans, and much much more. Its a world of its own that embraces the wilds rather than tearing them down, with many choosing to live among the trees or in small isolatory huts. Its also a favored place of witches, good and evil. Its known as the home of Ritual magics, as the auram in the world is particularly potent.
