Auria
Auria is the ability to know what people are feeling, for everyone, how it translates is a bit different, but it's generally an aura of colors surrounding a person. However, its not unheard of for someone to hear sounds when looking at others or to fall into a strange, otherworldly trance when focusing on someone's emotions.
Level I:
You can only translate emotions in a simple manner. Seeing only one general color as their most present feeling, hearing a simple sound instead of a cacophony. you're not exactly sure what some colors mean, and must roll Empathy higher than 10 to gain any particular idea. Seeing simple facial flashes. You must roll sanity in large crowds. If you roll less than 10, you gain Auric Whiplash, which give a passive -2 to all stat and skill rolls. If spending an hour or more away from crowds, you lose this debuff.
Level II:
You gain a bit more control over your ability, able to see more when looking at a person. More colors, more sounds, more features. You're more in-tune with the colors, the Empathy roll needing to be higher than 5. You're also a bit more steeled against Auric Whiplash, only failing if rolling Sanity less than 6.
Level III: Your control over Auria is refined as can be. You know what the colors mean, and they are now detailed palettes of emotion and thought. You don't gain Auric Whiplash very easily, either, since you are able to zone out everyone else's auras and sounds.
Level IV: You can read people like you eat and breathe. Whenever looking at someone, you not only know what they feel and think, but also know how to mold them to your will, what to say, what to do to achieve a desired effect.
