Inkfolk
The inkfolk are a species of humanoid not dissimilar to humans, though with a much stronger Asaeic connection. It is believed that the inkfolk were once a subspecies of humans, but their lineages diverged to the point that human-inkfolk reproduction is, without the use of the proper means, impossible. However the said means are far easier to come by, simply requiring a slight modification to the conception process to work, as opposed to the transmutative manifestations required for many other unions. There are legends of human females giving birth to inkfolk without either parent having any inkfolk heritage. Clinical studies have been inconclusive so far.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Inkfolk are for the most part entirely identical to humans, with 4 limbs and a head attached to a torso, almost identical skeletal and muscular structure and general size. However, beyond this there are a number of different ethnicities of inkfolk which greatly differ among themselves in their forms beyond the human likeness. All inkfolk have horns, though some have different numbers and different placements of them. They are also present in almost all hues and values of skin tone, though most commonly have a cool coloured (such as blue or purple) pigmentation. There is also a decent amount of size disparity between different ethnicities, some being smaller and leaner, where as others can grow up to 1.5 bars. In addition, many inkfolk do not have a distinction between their sclera, iris, and pupil, rather presenting solid coloured eyeballs. Nonetheless, they see perfectly fine.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
As a whole, inkfolk have some advantages over other races. They are all capable of seeing well in low light. Some can even develop the ability to see in complete darkness. As this ability is usually accompanies a very dim living environment, most inkfolk find themselves blinded by any amount of bright light. In addition, some inkfolk ethnicities have naturally advanced asaeic abilities. This has led to the unfortunate belief that their horns can be used medicinally and as manifestation components. While the first is complete nonsense, the second is sadly plausible. Inkfolk with a greater aptitude towards asaeic manifestation generally conduct their asa through their horns, and in a majority of cases, their asaeic anchors are actually found within their horns. This has led to some persecution and poaching, however these were thankfully mostly unsuccessful. Some inkfolk give their horns willingly for the creation of asaeic foci or other tools, though as they do not grow back such cases are rare.
