Rx8 "Revelations"

General Summary

• Charleigh immediately fumbles as she finds herself in a small, dark, metal space like an air vent. She sees a green light in front of her. She reaches a grate and hears voices off in the distance. It’s the evil us shit talking. Charleigh gets a little closer and sees the evil Gambler and Dark Priestess. Gambler talks about “The Outlier” that’s with us

• A small green ooze appears in front of Charleigh and seems to try and talk to her. It slides a card over to her when she said she didn’t know how she got there. The card has writing on the edges “Whenever you’re ready to return, simply rip me in half. Teehee” she rips it and appears on Ame. She gives us the scoop on her experience.
• We find a sleight with the labels of boss rooms. We walk through a hallway that is riddled with blow dart traps. Apparently the dice do not want us to identify this poison at all.
• We get to the boss door and talk strategy. We hear muffled noises and charge in, and Audrey II is eating someone. We inflict debuffs as Cain pries the mouth open as we learn the lady is just a lure for us. Kayden unmasks the intentions and we learn the plant monster just wants to eat pretty ladies, which y’know, valid but not in this context
• We’re getting our asses kicked and Joey pulls a goat gamble as he slams a fireball down at them.
• Charleigh has a big hit after encouragement from Kayden and Cain as she announces she won’t let the plant scare her like her dad (with Cain speaking as if he knew her dad

. Cain gets the last hit and light bends around him as the plant leaves behind a purified seed alongside a greater poison magistone.

• Ame went down in combat and her eye is fully blackened from the fight. There’s a tablet that says “Treasure Room, Return to exit, ascend.” We go to the treasure room. Ame is lingering in darkness with a fountain spewing darkness and hears a voice that says she’s finally ready to meet her. She says to call her Umbra and that they’re inside their magistone. Asking if she remembers being in the place between places and she picked it up? Apparently Umbra doesn’t want the rest of us to know about her, which isn’t suspicious at all. Talks about her antithesis (Aria) and how much will be revealed when the two finally meet.
• Umbra offers Ame her heart’s question: Ame asks if her friends are okay and if they’ll meet again, Umbra says yes and gives her an “improved” blessing. Ame now has blackened fingertips. We open the chests: one has a common earth and poison magistone as well as parchment to complete the trial, the other has 20 steel ingots.
• Ame has a voice appear in her eyepatch asking for an option “Infusement” or “creation.” She picks creation and the thing says “effect will take place along long rest”
• We remember there’s a registration thing after every boss floor. We get back in half the time most parties, we drop off the fallen at a depressed guy. One gave 1000z and we get 50z for the standard rate. The sword belongs to this guy who seems very uh excited to meet with us
• We go to a shawarma place and the guy is the best.
• Ansa is gone and left a note saying she’ll be back in two days. Rose and Flave are setting up plants in the gardens. Dr Parks writes out his thoughts on the day, Cain is just open for one on ones, Joey comes by to do something post fight de-stress. Charleigh talks with Kayden about her dad and Kayden is very encouraging.

• Ame is worrying about making a long rest and hears “Genesis will begin in 10 seconds” she then collapses. We all rush to check on her, Kamani doesn’t quite know what it is but says it may be a blessing. Parks gives an anesthetic as we take turns keeping watch. Parks sees the dialogue box in her eye. It says “Genesis has commenced, beginning creation.”
• Ame’s back in the void, she calls out to Umbra to ask what the hell’s going on. She explains that Creation allows her to create abhorrent constructs. Her abilities level up when she “touches darkness.” She has a number of choices: she makes it a support, beastiel, and walking. She gives it camouflage so to the rest of us it looks like a regular dog and names it Onyx.
• We all meet the adorable Pomeranian and we hear a knock at the door as Becky is delivering the badges in the middle of the night and stares at Cain as he wears sweatpants. He is too tired to really notice.
