Rx7 "Secrets"
General Summary
- The bug bois can’t come with us and it’s sad. Charliegh is gone but a joker card is left. A message saying “she’s safe and sound on the next floor’s rest area - a friend”
- We go to a room with beautiful green grass. Then we find a store room with some foods and blankets. Ame goes to open a parasol and Kamani gives her a jumpscare while letting her know it’s cursed. Ame tries to shake it and it opens anyway. We go to find a chest, Zae pokes it with the parasol and it makes the chest glows red (she crit on the roll and learned red color means bad luck).
- Next room has frost all around with a light blue magistone and a note saying “take this if you desire, but know things become harder” we elect not to. We find an arena with some dog men and nope out of it.
- We find another stone dais with nothing on it. We find a chest with potions and leather armor. We find a room full of wolf dudes and Kayden chats with them, they recognize the armor as the royal armaments of the guard of the death god. Also the parasol is one of them. Also the dogmen are Kobolds. Though there doesn’t seem to be a “god of death” that we’re aware of. They talked about Anu as the god of kobolds and death. They tell us about the Triarchy that was formed 3,000 years ago. There were multiple gods, then a celestial war, then there were 4 gods, then 3.
- We find a maid outfit that seems to go with the parasol and the kobolds all allow us to pass. We find a chest with a scale with an eyepatch and a hairpin, but can only take 1. Ame takes the eyepatch and now sees all the souls of the magistones.
- Kamani shares how the first demon lord cast a curse that stopped people from passing on to the afterlife, the goddess of life found away to turn their souls into magistones and when they’re used up they can pass on (supposedly)
- We find a chest with a scythe, Ame can’t hold it so Joey sees it. He sees the number of people everyone has killed.
- We learn the grass rooms are safe rooms if we set up tea for us and the guardian. She appears, named Lilly. She is pale with black hair, green eyes, and long ears. We’re told if both roles of the attendant and knight of death were filled they’d be set on a quest to revive Anu but says that wouldn’t be good. She says that if anyone killed a Kobold the vestments wouldn’t appear to them so only one other person has been an attendant.
- Seems in the celestial war the triarchy killed the gods which then classified their followers as monsters. The goddess of creation made an argument for putting the monsters on their own continent while the other two went “Nah fuck ‘em, put them in the dungeon.”
- Lilly offers to trade the scythe and armor for two standard magistones (nonscreaming!), he goes for light and lightning. Says time is dilated in dungeons
- We have the Kobolds guide us to the exit. Ame picks up a statue of Anu where a voice asks if she accepts her role, if she does she must seek the truth. Cain offers support and grounding while she makes her decision. She decides to accept it and all the curses of the vestments are removed.
- We get to the stairs! There’s a beautiful valley with a cherry tree, the moons, and some ruins. At the ruins is a robed figure praying at an alter with 73 idols to different gods.
- We let them pray and we see a young masc figure with pink skin, green hair, and tri-pointed ears. Freckles on a flower shape. Their name is Sako and they explains this is a realm of the fallen that only those liked by floor guardians that will allow us to skip to the floor with the boss. Says they’re known as a “cherry elf” by humans but his people go by “Floral Spirits.” We asked them about if Charleigh will meet with us if we skip and show the card, they said “The Gambler likes to play tricks.”
- Sako explains that when inhabitants of the dungeon aren’t on dungeon duty they stay in the realm. We’re also are asked not to burn any wood.
- We hang out under the cherry tree and chat. Kamani has an existential crisis about all the lore we just gained about the gods, nothing a little ghost yuri can’t help. Ame owes Kamani an entire double chocolate cake with raspberries. Kamani also was the high priestess in life, same title as Halorin.
- Kamani shares about her party from the dais, Kenneth was her twin brother fighting demons in the moonlight. They were identical until she started worshipping the goddess of creation. She said she gathered up her party’s magistones to a friend she trusted to use them up quickly so they could pass.
- We cut away to a dark sky with a massive black castle with lime green energy pouring out of the cracks. 4 individuals walk through the doors towards a throne. A skeleton sits the throne with black armor and sickly green magistone (not one we’ve seen before). A man takes off his hood with long blond hair and golden eyes (the gambler). He talks about plans for his return, and getting rid of the “regulars” another next to him is a dark priestess with blue hair and eyes with a blue lotus hairpin saying “Time for us to die!”
